Virus? Need help.

x50v --- started getting mem low errors and machine running very slow, after browsing for a bit, discovered a recording1 file of 49.x mb that I cannot delete , keep getting a "another programs has part of this file locked" error, funny thing is I can hear the recording playing at very low volume even though no programs are open.....

any ideas?

Try a soft reset and then attempt to delete the recording.

Check the file isn't still listed in mediaplayer's library ??

if all else fails u can always hard reset that will for sure get rid of that file

You can also try renaming the file before deleting.

I would also vote for a hard reset. That will clear out all issues that are known and unkown. :approve:

I'd go into your sounds and change the choices you have and see if the sound changes. Theres only about 10 sounds the axim can play isn't there?


For example sound 1 will play if you have an email ect.

Well - I tried deleting via activ-sync, kept getting same error message, I was able to move the file to sd card - but then the x50 froze w/black screen, thought I had bricked it (odd of course).

Soooooooooo, I ended up doing the hard reset. All is well now.
