Amazing ... just amazing ...
A few years ago, I got the best birthday present ever. My Mum bought me a Dell Axim x51v. I loved it, took it everywhere with me, used it for everything. Then, one night, it was on the floor next to my bed. I somehow managed to knock a glass of coke over, which created a pool of coke on my laminate floor with the Axim swimming in the middle of it. I didn't quite realise untill about 10 mins later or so. I then picked up the Axim, which seemed to work fine. Put it on my table and went to bed. Woke up in the middle of the night and the PDA screen was just white. Which I presume was the White Screen of Death. I tried pressing the power button but it was no use. I frantically searched Aximsite wondering what to do. I cleaned the inside of it very delicately and it still didn't work. I was very annoyed with myself, I banished it to the bottom of my drawer and never touched it for about a year or so. Not long ago, I found the battery of my Axim in one of my drawers, so I decided that I would dig out the gadget and try it. I put the battery in, screen was white just as I expected. I tried the Power Button and it burst into life! My arse nearly fell out! I couldn't believe it. It was working. I was sure there was a catch, that the Wi-Fi wouldn't work, it would turn itself off whenever it liked or electrocute me or something. But no, it was working fine. Everything was in order. So now, I'm back to using my Axim daily, and bloody loving it. I never told my Mum it was broken, cos she'd kill me. After whipping the Axim out of my pocket for the first time in a year, she looked at me and said "Well ... it's been a while since I last saw that" (I know it sounds wrong) to which I replied "Really? I wonder why ..."
