What about ActiveSync Troubleshooter?

I do not use Activesync (Use that crappy Windows Mobile Device Center on Vista) but you could give the Activesync a troubleshooter a try.

When all else fails a hard reset is generally the answer but it does remove all of your personal data and any settings or personal applications you have on your unit. There is also no fall back to this process other than a complete unit back up prior to starting the hard reset. For this I use Sbp's backup application. :approve:

I think I had same problem as you... win xp with all the updates, wm6.1 classic on an x51v, activ sync 4.5.0, and a bad broadcom bluetooth stack. I googled and found "broadcom bluetooth stackx51v05.cab" and mine is working now. Hope this helps... I can email it if you'd prefer...

I'm about ready to give up. I have had continuous problems with the "cannot connect"--with a teasing dimension. Recently, I was able to sync just after I changed monitors. But, after restarting, no more connections. The, tonight, on reading someone else's suggestion, I downloaded a copy of the Sybase program and was able to sync one time. But, after restarting the computer, no more connections. It seems like doing something for the first time opens up some pathway, which the computer than catches and closes! I've tried all the usual stuff, but in the end I'm mystified on the this occasional connection. Does this occasional connection suggest anything to anyone? Bill
