Hurricane Tracker

Anyone currently using this software called Hurricane Tracker by Survivorsoft ...seems I have the one from last year and now it's not updating and now that we have Hurricane Bertha looming.

I have the same problem. I have version 1.0. The latest is V1.1.
The latest storm details I have are for Olga from last year! No details of Bertha or TS Albert this year. On selecting the display I get "No active storms". When I start it up I get a Disclaimer, which I did not get last year.

In usually get my hurrricane information from the Tropical Storm Risk website.

NOAA, the source used for this has updated their website in the last year or so.

This is why older today plugins for weather forecasts dont work, because NOAA changed their site for that. I imagine they did the same for their hurricane stuff.
I checked, and this software also gets its data from NOAA.

Youll probably have to upgrade to 1.1 unless that version doesnt work also. If their latest version inst working, contact the author of it and tell them it doesnt work.

The alternative is just to use NOAA's mobile site, which isnt as good looking and has less features.

Quite right. I have upgraded to V 1.1 which works perfectly and has downloaded TS ALBETO, HURRICANE BERTHA and TS BERYL. :approve:

There seems to be no free or cheap upgrade but since V 1.1 only costs US$ 9.95 this hardly matters. :)

I very much hope that there are not too many Category 4 or 5 hurricanes this year.

I upgraded to v1.1 & am getting errors.

The only error that I get says that there is not enough memory to run the program but this is easily rectified by going to settings/memory and moving the slider to the left to increase program memory.

But it is not at all good at giving full hurricane data. For example today September 10th it says "No active storms". It lists Hannah and Josephine but there is no mention of Ike!!
