If you have a cellphone that is bluetooth enabled, you can connect the cellphone and the pocket pc up via bluetooth connection and use the cellphone's data connection to get on the internet. Of course, if you are in an area where there is limited or no cellphone coverage, the data connection will not work either. And, of course, if you plan to stay connected most all the time you'd need to be sure to subscribe to your cellphone provider's unlimited data plan.

I'm not sure what you mean by "getting internet privilages." If you want to get on the internet with a cellphone, you'll use your cellphone provider's data connection to do it. If you don't subscribe to this service, you will pay a premium for it, so if you plan to use it much, you need to subscribe to your cellphone provider's data plan.

Since the axim does not have any kind of sim card in it or any other way to get on a cellular network, you'll need to use a connection to a bluetooth enabled cellphone - again, using the cellphone's data connection.

Another method open to an x51v user to connect to the Internet is through wi fi (hotspot) connectivity. You should have an account with a provider who has a wide network of hotspots such as Starbucks facilities.

You can buy a CF "phone" for your Ax.

They are expensive, bulky, power hungry and from what I here, not very practical.

This is one example.

Call your isp, ask for the phone number to connect to your isp, your carrier may/or may not support this kind of a call, but it may be passed off as a regular call, slow connection, but possibly worth a shot, sorry short on details Im in a hurry and wanted to reply. The badside is it could be charged as a data call, am not sure what determines that, but when I used it, it just counted as minutes. Good alternative if you dont want to use your phone gprs/edge etc

I havent done this for a while so I dunno if it still works or not..
