CF-Card disappeared surprisingly

Hi,

sorry for my bad english, i'm from germany.
I've got an axim x50v and flashed it to wm5 a03 maglite rom.
It worked perfectly after a few tweaks - no 624mhz stuck etc...
A few days ago i experienced a problem: My CF-card is not shown in explorer any more. Its a 2gb extreme-memory card, it has worked always - till this day.
My SD-Card is still working perfectly. I put the cf-card into my pc - it is working there.
I tried lots of soft-resets, tried to put out the card an turn it in again - but it doesnt worked anything at all.
Does anyone know, what i have to do to fix my problem? Maybe i forgot to install a hack/tweak or something like this.

thanks for your answers.

Doing a soft reset should be the solution. This was an issue with the X51Vs also until Dells last A12 update which fixed it for good. Not sure what the final solution for the X50V is. :approve:

Then whats left is a defective CF card or CF clot. To resolve those you need test both with known functioning pc card reader and pda.

I've heard experimental ROMS for x51v/x51 can disable the CF card.
1st-I think try blowing air into the slot and see if there is dust.
2nd-I suggest reverting back to the original Dell ROM bcuz I know they support CF.

I have been using WM6 and WM6.1 ROMs for the past 8 months with no loss of the SD or CF card slots no matter which ROM revision level I have had loaded on my X51V. The issue with the dissapearing CF card is a known issue with all revisions levels of the original Dell OS other than the last one A12.
