flashing the rom from sd card on my x50...need tips

Anyway...ive got the dreaded it gets stuck at 80% when loading my axim, and i cant get it fixed. tried hard resets almost everything. Flashing the rom may be my last hope to solve this problem. Anyway First thing first, how big of an sd card will i need. Im running windows mobile 5 (don't call me a dumbass for doing this please) Basically all i need it to do is to start up. I don't care what version i end up with 5 or 2003, but these are my questions

1. how big will the sd card need to be

2. Is it easier to just reflash it for the same verion its running, wm5, or is it easier to downgrade it to 2003?

3.If the os is wm5, that means its bootloader wm5. right?

4. what does this A01, A03 and stuff mean and how does this affect me?

5. Where can i find the files to do this?

6. And can someone give me any other tips to make this easier on me, i mean i also have to open up my device in order to bend the headphone jack so the speaker will work again...so i mean ive got a lot of problems :bang::bang:

There is a sticky note on this site about doing the ROM upgrade process with lots of great information that answers all of your questions. I suggest you read that first and then if you have questions that are not covered in the sticky notes information ask away again!
