Upgrading to WM6

I will answer each question in red

1) What is your units model number (example X51V, X50V, X51, X50).

It is a Axim X51

2) What upgrade revision did you download and try (example WM5 A12, WM6.1 L11 Lennys)

I used the version DiAd_K_AximX51v_WM61_L11EN.nb0
3) Was your unit in the cradle or did you just use your battery alone

It was in the cradle the whole time and I kept it fully charged

4) Did you try removing all external memory cards prior to doing a hard reset (SD or CF doesnt matter)

The only card I have in is the SD card this was still in the unit

5) What was the process you used for the upgrade (be specific)

I formatted an SD card and copied the two files on to it. I then put the SD card in the unit and pressed wireless+power+reset at the same time. The white screen came up with the version on it I then pressed the action button (the big one in the middle between the 4 small ones) twice and it siaimage update with the reading sd card this filled up blue and then said please press power + reset to do a manual hard reset. I pressed thes buttons togeter and found later I wasnt keeping them pressed lmong enough and managed once to get a screen with tests on it it liek the button test and sound tests. It them came up witha screen with setails on it button was set to 0500000 and it sais tap the screen to continue I did and it went black and switched off I have managed to get this far twice out of about 20 attempts each time the screen powered off and then the unit wont restart hard reset just comes up with press one button to reset or envelope to continue to which each option powers the unit off. How long on the command for a manual hard reset should I be holding the reset and power button before the white screen comes up with the setup. Should setup be powering off after i tap the screen to continue.

Looks to me like the problem may be that you upgraded an x51 with the ROM upgrade for the x51v

I think this is the case I thoguht I had a *v* and relaised when it was too late that I didnt. Does anyone have a rom please for the x51 wm5 or 6 that I can install on it again
