Problems with WM6
Hi, I just recently upgraded to WM6(football edition) on my X51v. I used the youtube video on how to do it by drakey83. It worked fine but before i did the upgrade, when i was still in WM5, i backed up all my files and restored them when i was upgraded to WM6. and now some things dont work. I have some programs from WM5 still on my Axim and they dont work. on my start menu there is pocket msn and the icon for it is just a blank white window and i click on it and it wont work. Same with calculator and terminal services client. i very confused, could someone help me fix this problem?

A backup from wm5 wont work on wm6, youll have to reinstall the applications or make the shortcuts again from your storage cards, especially any programs that are stored in the device memory..You'll need to reinstall net cf on your axim in order to get calculator and the other programs to work. Lenny's 6.1 L11 is out if you want to give it a shot..

Yes it is, in fact LennySH has continued to develop ROMs for the X51V where 'football' has stopped. LennySH latest ROM release is L11 which is the fastest ROM that I have tested on my X51V to date. It also is very stable and has a vast improved battery life. Of course all of this is IMHO.

You need to install Windows Mobile Device Center instead of Activesync if you're using Vista. Also check your firewall it might be blocking your syncing.

A word of wisdom for you. You can find that information on the internet by using Google search engine. In addition you should read everything you can fine (this site and others) about 'flashing a ROM on the X51V prior to trying it. Should this process go wrong due to not following the proper process it will brick your unit. I have flashed my X51V over 25 times with no issues but by following exactly step by step the proper process.
