X50v works/x51v does not - new router

I used to have a Linksys G router that worked well for everything - both my X50v and x51v could connect without any issues but then I decided to upgrade to a Linksys WRT160N router. After resetting the SSID a few times, setting things on the router, etc, I am able to use the Odyssey client and connect wireless on my x50v but when I try to use the Odyssey client or not use it on my wife's x51v, I cannot get it to connect - it acts like it is going to connect but then doesnt work. Thoughts?

A few thoughts come to mind:

1. Some x51v ROMs have issues with WPA-PSK encryption. Try turning encryption off for a few minutes and try again.

2. Channels are often an issue. Try switching between 6 and 11.

3. In Odyssey Client, "Forget Temporary Trust" and "Forget Password". Give those a try.

4. Instead of using Odyssey Client, have you tried Dell's default Wi-fi manager? That might help.
