Need help with DVD's on my pocket pc

Hello all, I have an Axim X50v and I have always been able to watch avi files on it. I have ripped DVD's that I own and converted them to AVI files. I backup the DVD's with DVD backup which is a freeware program and then use Pocket Divx Encoder to create the AVI file from the DVD backup. I have never had a problem as most of my DVD's had 2.0 stereo soundtracks, however the last few I have purchased have ONLY 5.1 surround soundtracks. If I follow the process like I usually do the sound is all garbled up and sounds horrible. Pocket Divx has a function which when selected will not recompress the sound track. It increases the size of my output file but on my pc the file plays like normal (using DIVX player). However if I transfer to my Axim, TPCMP says that the codec is not supported. Does anyone have a way to get around this or is there a way to convert the sound so that it is stereo and not 5.1? Many Thanks

Well I answered my own question last night and finally figured out what I was doing wrong. The Back up program I use is DVD Shrink. Well turns out that the DVD I had has two angles that can be viewed for the film. Using DVD Shrink I was able to select the correct video track and I also did not compress the sound. The movie increased from 206 MB to 468 MB not too bad. The sound and video quality are great! Hope this helps someone else.
