Best Configuration for Avi Movies?

As you know, lately videos are being encoding to be more and more HD and the axim is staying pretty much the same. I'm getting a lil lag on my core player. I have 51xv with 624mhz. Before naruto starting being converted to a widescreen format I could watch it just fine on wm5. now i have wm6 and the series is wide screen mode and i bit higher resolution. I think i can convert the file and watch it jsut fine but migth there be some fine tuning i can do to make the videos run at their intended resolution/speed?

If you transfer the videos via Windows Media Player, it automatically lowers the resolution for your Axim. Then I suggest you get TCPMP (TCPMP) because it doesn't lag like WMP mobile.

That's the player I'm talking about. The naruto series won't even run on windows media player. How can I configure my core player to run at full power everything for avi movies? Like the dither settings...should i run sound from my card instead of the software? Will that free up more power so it's not so laggy?

Personally, I do not use TCPMP anymore. But check on Settings-->System-->Power-->Processor-->Set is on Maximum Performance.

Also. You can manually convert your AVI to 320x240. Set your resolution lower on whatever converter you use. That's should put less weight on your Axim.

Im not exactly sure if i understand what you're asking, but you could cut down the file with either windows movie maker or amerisoft mobile video suite. You could also change the settings to use more memory for buffering..
