Okay everybody, after two days I got Bluetooth DUN re-enabled with Windows Mobile 6.1 and tethered via BT to my cell phone and T-Mobile Web ($5.99 plan); here's how to do it without chewing your fingernails to the nub:
Assuming y'all have installed Windows Mobile 6.1:
1) Google Search "Bluetooth DUN .CAB file Download" - your choice, I used "PocketPC Mag" at
One of the BEST hacks of the year: Dial-up Networking Through Bluetooth Under WM5 AKU3 / WM6: at last, it’s WORKING, thanks to X | Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine
2) You are looking for "WM5AKU3WM6DUNRenableRegImp"
3) Import Registry key via your favorite Registry Editor; I used Pocket Explorer 2008
4) Soft Reset your Axim. I simply have my power button to turn off the unit and not put it in standby mode.
5) Follow the standard setup for T-Mobile Web to include the proxy 216.155.165.50, port 8080, Dial Rules unchecked, Dial *99#, turn wi-fi off and you're good to go.
The registry key can be done manually though if you do, Active Sync to your Axim to your desktop and use CeRegEditor.
If you don't have ActiveSync, like me, I used a media card reader and downloaded all my files to my SD card and went from there.
Y'all take care!
