Seems that an x51 version is in the works too. Only problem I can see is if you are not starting with wm 5 a02 already installed it seems hard to find I think. Anyways, it would be interesting to see how well this is running..
Holy cow (No offense to Hindus, I had one incident with that phrase. :()! Now x50 users get the what us x51v users get too?
Good job Maglite!

Be careful. Flashing this rom is not for the faint of heart. I would say only flash this rom if you have nothing to lose because some features have not been tested and are not totally stable yet. Might I also add that Maglite is not working on a X51 version (Lenny apparently is). This rom is not for all axim X50s. However, I must credit Maglite for creating a working rom framework for me. I plan on rolling out a WM6 rom with a few extra goodies (hint: big fix for flash memory) soon.

Considering that MagLite is producing x50 and possibly soon x51 ROMs and he doesn't own either model of Axim is kinda iffy. I'm not doubting his skills, mind you, as he's contributed a significant amount of time and effort to the "aftermarket" ROM community... but, releasing ROMs for devices he can't even test his own work on, that's pushing my faith to the breaking point. :)
I hope Lenny does some work towards an x51 ROM as I have one sitting around and don't use it much, still hoping to get an x51v finally - that one has eluded me for years now because people that own them either: a) never get rid of them unless they're totally dead or bricked, or b) they know what they're worth so they never sell them at a price that's anywhere near what I can get x50v models for.
I just grabbed an x51v in outstanding condition off Craig's List with: a 1GB SD card, a 256MB CF card, 2 cradles, 2 AC adapters, a leather case, the original 1100 mAh battery with a 2200 mAh extended battery too, all for $100 cash.
I can get another x51 package for $75 right now, but I simply can't ever find an x51v - even the bare unit with no accessories - for under $200, ever.
So this bodes well for the x50/x51 market since they're all over the place. ;)

I agree with you. Fortunately, I (actually) have the device that I am making roms for. With Maglite's help, I will be able to put out a rom at a faster rate than before (apparently, he solved my main problem with making the rom).

Lenny said he didn't have an x50v when he was making the A09, and it turned out nicely. Not that I have any idea what it take to make a rom, but I guess it's possible. Seems like he's making 6.1 for like 10 different devices
I loved my wm6 Maglite edition when I had my x50v. Hopefully it turns out ok for all the x50/x51 guys, I see them for sale all the time for dirt cheap, so this has got me thinking hmm...must resist buying more axims..
