I need help with my Axim X50. I can do the hard/reset and the diagnostics tools, but the system locks when going into windows. Does anybody have the 2003 SE ROM that I can load into my SD card? The whole thing has been useless to me for about 4 months now. I tried calling Dell too.... what a waste of time :realmad: (2hrs) . Is there anything else I can do? I don't even recall if this was related to the WM5 update issue or not. It's been so long since it hasn't worked. All I want to do is have it work as though it just came out of the box WM2003 SE just like new.
Hiya. There is a long process that you can do to "convert" the Dell stock installer into a SD-loadable image. But someone already did it:

You'll get two files, one .nb0 and the other .crc. Copy those onto a FAT32- SD card. Hope you know how to flash it. If it instructions are below.
--Flashing instructions
1. Backup EVERYTHING, or in your case, if you had an original SD card with data on it. Remove it please.
2. Press the Wi-Fi button and the power button together.
3. While holding the two, press the reset hole with your stylus.
4. While STILL holding the two, release the reset hole with your stylus.
5. Wait for a screen that says 'Image update" to come up
6. Release the two buttons
7. Double press the "action key" (The button in the middle of the 4-way D-pad)(In other words, the little oval button)
8. DO NOT let your Axim run out of battery during the 15-30 minutes flashing process.
Good luck!
-John
*Edit: The links seem to be down. Either I'll convert the files myself or someone from Aximsite might still have a WM2003 Rev. A05...

Thanks for the help I hope you can find the MW2003 file. I would really like to flash this thing and get it running again. Maybe someone else can find it too. I really appreciate the help.
Follow his directions. First, you need to know if you have a x50 low or mid...
