Axim x51v slow

Greetings. I've had my Axim x51v for a year now and I'm loving it. However, I'm finding out more frequently that it operates extremely slow at times. Do you know why it takes a really long time to open documents? Is there a solution for it so that it will run with lightning speed? Is that possible? Thank you.

Freeing up memory space

settings/memory/running programs/stop will help to speed things up.

settings/remove programs/total storage memory should not be too small (unsure of a number).

File explorer/my documents/ (then if and only if you know which files to delete to free up more memory space)

transfer a lot of stuff to sd cards.

Hope that helps.

Hiya! Welcome to Aximsite

First thing to try:
Download Memmaid's trial (MemMaid - DinarSoft) and install.

When it asks for Recommended (or it might be called "Safe") features or Advanced features, select the recommended. We don't want to break anything.

Then, use the Quick Cleaner. Scan then Clean
In the upper-left hand corner, there is a drop-down menu. Select "Recleaim RAM". Press "Reclaim".

In the lower part of the screen. Select the third one from the left. It should be called "System Tweaks". Press "Optimize"-->For Extreme Speed--> Then apply. You need to soft-reset (same as a restart) your Axim.

Press the sixth button from the left (Or the last button). Select the drop-down menu (upper-left corner). Press "CPU Usage". See if any process uses a lot of CPU and report back.
----------------------------
Now, if those directions didn't help.
If too much "stuff" is on your Today screen (The main screen). Disable some of it.
Also, uninstall any unnecessary programs.
----------------------------
Some extreme methods:
Backup EVERYTHING. Press Power button + Reset hole. Agree to hard resetting. *beware* It reset the Axim to factory default. So it would be like brand new. :)

-------------------------------
I suggest you proceed down the "list" of possible solutions. I strongly suggest you purchase Memmaid. You will not regret that decision. It covers all my maintenance for my Axim in one program.

Good luck!
~John

Beat me to it, mostlylisten.
Yes, some programs don't work on SD.

But those two posts should be plenty for Prund to do.
