Infra Red Test Axim x50v

I have been trying in vain to link belkin keyboard F8U1500ea with my pda.
The software has downloaded fine.
But no response from keyboard.
Has anyone successfully married the two.
And how can I test the infrared on the pda?

Google is your friend. Just Googled infrared tester and found tons of results. The ones I've used before are a specially treated card you put in front of a remote or other infrared emitter and look for the light on the card. Most electronics stores should have something like these. They are pretty inexpensive.

A free option is to use a digital camera. The sensors generally can see infrared.

Point your Axim at the camera and cause it to send an IR signal. Watch the "live-view" on the camera viewfinder. If you see a bright white dot, it's working.

Thanks Kenster! Even though I'm not the op, that is a great tip I wasn't even aware of. I just tried it with my digital camera and tv remote and it showed a bright white light emitting from the IR led. Pretty cool!

I always just aimed it at my webcam and look at the monitor
as the webcam sees infrared.
