Are you sure you need to replace the whole screen? It may be that you have only broken the touchscreen (and not the lcd below). If only that, the replacements are cheap $15 or so.

Ouch! - their prices are rediculously high. They want $25 for the backup battery for the X50 series? Well, I guess they're hurting from the economic downturn and need to make up the profits somewhere ;)
Since you can buy a used working X50v/X51v for anywhere from $80 to $200 these days, I would have a look at craigslist for one before shelling out big bucks just for the part.
Keep your original for parts - or sell it as is on Craigslist too.

Ebay is always cheaper. It is much better to buy a new pda than $175 for a new screen. I don't think the quality of the LCD will be any worse than the original. If anything it may be better since LCD technology has improved since then.
OTOH I bought a cheap replacement touchscreen for my x50v from ebay. The original was made of glass while the replacement is made of plastic (i think, although not totally sure). I don't think this really makes any difference though. The one big difference I noted though is that the replacement was 'matte' IOW the screen's surface was a little rough while the original was completely smooth. I preferred the smooth feeling of the original. You can remedy this with a smooth screen protector, though.
That being said I don't think there is any inherent quality difference (my desktop lcd monitor has the 'matte' rough feeling when you touch it). But smooth definitely feels better for me when dragging the stylus.
You can ask the sellers these questions, but unfortunately on ebay many don't seem to be able to speak english very well, so the responses will probably be limited.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned PocketPCTechs.com yet. There prices are reasonable and they have a surprisingly good turnaround rate.

I used PocketPCTech for my replacement screen. It was fast, solid, and looked like new. I would definitely use them again. I think it was like $100 for the whole thing, shiping to them and back.
I love this dumb thing. I've had it for years and I'm not ready to lose it.

I think I mailed out 25 or so of those bad boys to aximsite members simply for the price of postage earlier this year.
$25 is quite high, but again, it is a specialized part. Not what we'd call a 'loss leader'.

The prices for this stuff is always marked up by 1000%. Go into Radio Shack & see what they charge for a stupid resistor.

Hey, I've repaired about 50 of these pda's (x50,x50v,x51,x51v) and ive gotten pretty quick with it. If you need help, i'd be more than happy to help you repair your pda. if you have a webcam i could probably guide you through the procedure

Sorry for the bump but my x51v touch screen just cracked pretty good. I'm looking to replace it myself. I found this replacement on ebay and I'm wondering if anyone else has done this recently or used one of these touch screen replacements...also if this is plastic, do you think it would affect the viewing quality? Thanks!
