X51v Slow Game Performance

I've recently just tried Firehawk on my X51v ( FireHawk PPC on PocketGear.com ) really fun, and my girlfriends dad tried it on his hx2790 and there is a substancial differnce in how fast the game plays. It runs maybe half to a third the speed of the hx2790 on my X51v. I understand the vga screen takes more processing power, but it makes absolutely no difference in speed though matter what processor setting I use either which in my opinion the 208mhz setting would make it run brutal slow in theory, but it doesnèt. Im running wm6.1 ao7 lennysh ed. Ive tried various other roms with my other x51v but still slow. Any solution, cause it is a very fun game but just plays terrible after you have seen it run at what looks like 60fps on the hp hx2790. Thanx for any help.

where is it installed? if on a card, which one?

Installed directly on the axim itself

I've played that game and it works just fine on my x51v. Im also using nes snes gba sega game gear/master system neo geo and neo geo pocket and psx with no problems. So imo its capable imho to play firehawk. How much free ram do you have.

just over 30mb free ram.
The game runs bout 20fps on the axim, but once you've seen it at a silky 60fps, it looks and plays likre crap afterwards at a lower framerate

Try setting the processor speed to 624mhz instead of "auto" at Settings-->Power-->Processors Tab. I find that often makes a difference.

Maybe it's just not designed for Axim...

It works great on my Tilt but haven't tried it on my Axim yet.

Try it out on yur axim, and let me know if u notice a difference

You are correct it does run slow on the Axim for some reason. It is still playable but just is slow when compared to my Tilt. I don't understand why it would run slower thought.

might check with the manufacturer. the axim has been around so long they may have a patch for it.
