Trying to fire up IBM J2ME on x51v
So activesync is toast because I have XP-service pack 3.
I am trying to figure out how to install the ibm-weme-wm50-arm-vga-midp20_6.1.1.20061110-161633.exe J2ME thing. I keep thinking if I guess the right files and subtrees it will just work. Ha. There is a weme-wm50-arm-hires-midp20_6.1.1.20061110-161633/ folder with only a few files and a _jvm/ folder with many files. First I tried just installing the weme... one. When I tried to run the "emulator" it complained about the fonts not found, a problem discussed in other threads. Then I tried copying the weme.../ folder contents into the bin and lib subfolders under _jvm and then installing the combined bin and lib folders to the axim. With this, the "emulator" refuses to start at all. Does anyone know anything about this? Maybe even someone who has J2ME working on his x51v can tell me how to do it. (?) Stefan XYZ

Strange-I have XP-service pack 3 and both my 51v and HTC 7501 still sync perfectly.Possibly you should re-install 4.5 and start over.
