windows 2003 to wm5 on x50

I cannot find a disk on ebay, upgrading the x50 from wm2003 to wm5.. people here, have given me the a01 to a02 wm5 upgrade, but, i cant use it, untill, i get the upgrade for the 416 mhz x50, to upgrade it to wm5 FROM 2003. can someone please help? give me a rapidshare link with the right upgrade? or perhaps email it to me? ive been looking for *MONTHS* now. thankyou!

Killian, WM5 isn't all that much better than 2003, particularly on an X50. 2003 is very stable. Suggest you stay put until you get a new device.

Since a lot of people have been bickering about finding the WM5 upgrade cd, should I just post the link to an iso file of the upgrade cd (is this okay with the admins)? There just wouldn't be any support provided with the cd (in other words, people have to figure out how to use the iso themselves).

Heh, i know how much better wm5 is than 2003, wm5 gives greater software compatability, and for what iuse them for its necessessary to have wm5 on these systems to make them useful at all.. I have several x50's that already are running wm5, they run wonderful and stable.. BUT.. i cant get the other 8 axims i have running wm5 without this infernal upgrade!

I got the WM5 cd from dell and installed it on my X50 and it ran so poorly, that I quickly put it back to 2003SE. My version was A01. I think there was an A02 version. Maybe that one was more stable than what I used?

i have the upgrade to a02 on all the x50's that are running wm5.. they run *WONDERFULLY* i just wish there was some way to snag an installed rom, and toss it onto another pda.. that way i dont have to beg for the cd! or a copy of it!
