Julie, I always thought only men used the loss of sensitivity excuse for riding bareback.
I have to agree with you Julie, resale value has never been a consideration for me with anything.
If you own it, use it.
Now where did I leave the plastic cover for my sofa.
mellojoe, I'd check your calculations if I were you, 12 cut in half gives you 24.
Where I come from there are 52 weeks in a year.
Actually, it almost seems like we are discussing condoms in this thread.....:o

HA! Whoops. Ah well. I don't know why I gave myself double, but I did. Therefore, take all my nubmers and chop them in half.
Although, I don't ever plan on selling my Ax, I still use the protectors. When I spend that much money on something, I want to take care of it.
I have to say that I had to be careful to write the post and its title without ambiguity
So, I'm using my ax unprotected. May I get any virus? (hehehe... enough!)
I just got a little afraid while doing gestures and I haven't installed any games (yet, maybe I will).
I totally agree that It is supposed to be used, not to keep it like new. But I want it to last the longest as possible.
I usually carry my Ax on a leather cover, or in the original rubber (I guess) cover, when using the extended battery. It gets a little tight, but fits.
I don't use screen protectors on my pocket pcs...I don't like them at all all. I take care to keep the screens clean and put them in cases when they are not in use. The screens show some wear at the top right hand corner, where the X is and along the right side where the scroll bar is, but other than that, the screen is in great shape.
Julie I would be interested in hearing how much information thats on your unit you use you use your PC to enter vs. your units screen. I enter over 90% of all information (calendar, memos, notes, word & excel documents) on my units screen vs. my PC. I have done this for years with each of my PDAs be they Palm or WM based. I have found that in my case using a screen covering is a requirement. :approve:
I never used a screen protector on my first PDA, (an HP palmtop), that unit had a keyboard that I used for all text entry, and I babied that unit. Still, over the years I still managed to scuff up the screen using the stylus.
My Ax51v has had screen protectors on it since day 1. The screen is in perfect shape, and the protector does not alter the sensitivity all that much if you use a quality product. I recommend the Boxwave ClearTouch Crystal. Mine has been on for three years, and it is still in great shape.

I tap on the screen all the time, but I don't do serious typing on it. I've set things up to minimize my use of that tiny onscreen keyboard and don't like the big onscreen keyboards like spb's keyboard. I am a touch typist with a typing speed of more than 100 wpm and I find using those keyboards too tedious for serious work...it just slows me down way too much.
If I'm going to input much directly into my Pocket PC, I have an external keyboard and bluetooth mouse for that. But for serious work, I prefer the comfort of my computer's two full sized monitors and my full sized keyboard. and mouse, so I have a couple of pocket pc applications and their desktop companion software (ie, Listpro) and I use My Mobiler to input directly into my pocket pc through my computer.
