Question Linux ported to Axim x50v?
Does any one know if Linux has been ported to the Dell Axim x50v?

Yes, but everything is very limited. I suggest you stick with WM5 and WM6 ROMS. Linux could easily permanently brick your device.

You might also look up the Ubuntu mobile forums to see what they're up to.
Although at this point, developers are looking more at Android for mobile devices.

One of the biggest issues with porting Linux to the Axim was the display and touchscreen drivers. Linux actually works - if you want to use the serial port on the Axim and a terminal
