Connecting to internet via bluetooth on x51v

I've been striving to do this for a long time. Especiallly since my cradle went down. Now the formerly glitch bluetooth is working . I have read so much help articles on my windows xp, axim disc, online, and am more confused than ever.
By the way, I've seen people asking how to hook up their axim to the net via dialup.... I have an AMBICON EZJACKk 56 CF card for the axim you just plug your phoone into. Easy to set up in axim, just use your regular dialup number. For us poor folks, the WLAN utility works great in motelparking lots , many of them are freee.
BUT BACK to my probblem,I have DSL on Windows XP. I need to get my axim on the net thru my laptop with the xp. Can someone walk me thru it. I have found no wayto make sense of the networking options on xp too do this. I have no other attached devices to this potential network.
If someone could pick a network connection on xp and walk me thru the correct choices, I'd be eternally grateful. Also which connection should I keep to maintain the current DSL laptop connection??

It's not a network connection that you need, it's an Active Sync connection.


Pair the Pc and the Axim in the bluetoooth settings.
On the Axim you should get an option in bluetooth for Active sync as one of the services.
Once you have the pairing working then open active sync on the Axim and select sync via bluetooth from the menu.
The Ax and the PC should then connect in the same way as it did when your cradle was working.

The Ax then uses the PC's connection to access the internet.
