glad to mention that the long confusing WIFI issue was solved with an OS upgrade to WM6.1 and the installation of latest OAC Odeyssey 4.55.0.3198.
the background was as the following:
My X50V was bought in year 2005 ( forgot??

)with a hope of being able to connet to company network. what puzzled me is PPC2003 version, i tried almost everything but could not connect to the cisco wireless AP authenticated using LEAP. I was getting chances to input username and passwd with my company's domain account, but it just couldn't work. As i am not enthusiastic in just playing arround without results, i forgot this issue temply.
Later on, when my colleague was having a chance of testing his Nokia E61 phone and got no problem to connect to company WIFI, I was retriggered to this topic and fired some messages to DELL support and Odyssey support. this was also some years ago, what i learnt was there was some incompatibility between cisco LEAP and Odyssey client, as they said it.
then i forgot this again....
this year, when i re-pickup my X50V and flashed the latested WM6.1 ROM, I found my Odyssey was not built in by the ROM. as I need it in my home also, I downloaded the free version from website, and, with a little hope, i configured with my company settings... guess what? it worked !

I think the Odyssey engineering staff has fixed the cisco LEAP problem in their new releases!! but i don't have interested to rollback to WM2003 and try out if how new OAC on 2003 works.
P.S. actually WIFI was always working fine at home.
