Need to Soft Reset X51v Frequently

I recently bought a refurbished X51v. With the help of www.mobilitysite, I'm getting comfortable with it.

But, whether the unit is on the cradle or in my pocket, there are times when it can't be turned on, (clicking the power button). The only way I can get it to operate is with a soft reset

Is there any option that needs to be applied to solve this problem?

Thanks,
Joe@542

Usually the problem with that is when you have too many programs running when you turn the axim off. You need to soft reset to clear memory of those programs.

Dell switcher bar is only one of many options which closes the apps before turning the axim off.

Check the lock switch on the side, jiggle it a few times.

Frequent Soft Resets on X51v

Wow - :)

Thanks for all the responses. Each makes sense. Now, I'll wait for the problem to pop up again, and try toggling the lock unlock switch a bit. Meanwhile, I'll try to remember to shut down programs being used b4 shutting off the PPC.

Thanks again - this site is great!!!

Um, Joe, I think you are only suppose to have 1 account for this site.

If I am correct, may a mod/admin delete one account?

Yes, that is correct. OP, did you forget your original login info? An admin would be able to help you merge your accounts.

I agree with both if you. When initially signing up, I did something wrong; and my email address became my user name. I sent off a note to the admiinistrator. I think it was Chris. I had no response. So I tried registering again using another email address. I would like to delete the first account and just go with Joe542. Any suggestions on how to do this?
