Agere Wireless LAN drivers for WM2003?

I bought this Agere CF wireless LAN card and installed the drivers for WM2003 on my PDA. However, I cannot seem to enable the card although it is listed on my PDA.

In my programs I can see something called Agere Client and when I open that it says driver not loaded.

When I go to settings/connections/wireless ethernet I can see the Agere Wireless Network Driver(h1) listed but I cannot find a way tio get it to work with the CF card. When I place the CF card into the slot it says unrecognised card and it comes up Network Card in Socket 1 and asks me to enter the name of the device driver for this card. If I write in Agere Wireless Network Driver it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Can anyone help me to get this thing working? The Model of the Agere CF card is CF-B-AG-01.

Thanks

Normally when the proper drivers are installed, all that is necessary is to insert the card. Have you tried removing and reinstalling the drivers?

The 'name' will usually end in .dll You might search the directory on the ppc to see if you can identify the correct file name. If you don't see any with 'agere' in the name, you might try prismnds.dll.

I'm actually not sure that the Agere card is Prism-based (in fact, I don't think it is), but you might try using the Intersil reference drivers, most easily loaded with the Perfect Prism utility which can be found linked from the WiFi FAQ (linked from my signature).

OK so what has happened now is this. I removed previous attempts at installing the drivers. I then opened the drivers emailed to me by the seller of the card. WINRAR folder and went to WINCE300 and opened it. I extracted the file Setup.exe and it installed on my X5. Then the PDA gave me a message to remove the X5 from it's cradle efore connecting the CF card. I did that. I got the usual message unrecognised card and was asked to name it. I tried naming it Agere Wireless Betwork Driver, and I tried naming it the only .dll file I could see related to it which was _Setup.dll and it still won't work.

I do have a program called Agere Client now though. When I open it it says at the top of the page Driver Not Loaded.

it then has a list below like this

Network:
Connections:
BS:
Encryption:

And at the bottom of the page it says edit wireless settings or something like that.

There are many other files in the WINCE300 RAR folder and indeed more RAR folders too.

Any ideas from here?
