USB to PC won't select.

I've been syncing my x51 to my laptop via bluetooth for a while. I had thought that my cradle was broken and simply put it on the shelf. Well, I got bored and started to try to get it working. After looking on the forums I keep seeing posts about selecting advanced networking from USB to PC. I have that icon in Connections, but it does not select.

Do I need a software upgrade?

It could be a bad cradle, bad connector on the AX, or ActiveSync needs to be reloaded on your PC. Personally, I have to wiggle the AX in its cradle to get it to sync. Mine is caused by the connector on the AX.

I suggest reloading ActiveSync first.

I don't know. I deleted the partnerships, and placed the Axim in the cradle. It detected the hardware, but activesync tried to connect for a while to no avail.

Would like to try the "Advanced Network Functionality" fix I read about in other posts, but the "USB to PC" icon on my Axim doesn't go anywhere.

*Oops, didn't carefully read your post.

Is there an error when you checkmark that box?

Also, if you use a USB hub, try removing that.
