Adobe Reader?

I'm wanting to put Adobe Reader on my x51v. But, it doesn't work. Does it mean that with a x51v you can't have it? I did with my x30..........

I just yesterday uninstalled Adobe Reader (from main memory) and reinstalled it (onto the CF Card) on my Dell Axim X51V running WM5.

UPDATE: You are aware that Windows Mobile is a tad brain-dead and will not find files in subdirectories; only in first-level folders? So, if you have \CF CARD\PDFS\ABCD.PDF it will be found, but if you have \CF CARD\PDFS\ABCD\ABCD.PDF it will not be found. Still, you can manually navigate to any folder and double-click on a PDF file and it will open.

What doesn't work? Please clarify...Are you able to install Adobe Reader to your pocket pc? If not, what kind of message are you receiving? If you are able to install Adobe Reader to your pocket pc, what happens when you attempt to open the application or open a PDF file? Do you receive any message?

I've installed and use Adobe Reader on all of my pocket pcs, including a windows mobile 2003 device as well as WM5.0 and WM6.1 devices. The software works fine on all of them.

Ok, I know what your problem is then. The file quoted is the windows installer and not the executable for the Pocket PC. Connect with active sync and use that file on your PC to install it.

Or copy the .cab file over to your PPC and install that.

A .cab file is the answer.

Adobe reader LE is a green software. you can put it any where on your device.
However the adobe reader is for PC use only, you can not run it on your device.

Huh? What is a green software? That's a term I've never heard of before.

Adobe reader LE is a different application than Adobe Reader for Pocket PC and cannot be installed to many of the older pocket pcs. It's also does not have the same functionality as Adobe Reader for Pocket PC. Your information is not good. Of course you can run Adobe Reader on a pocket pc....I run it on all of my pocket pcs.
