What does 'direct draw' mean?

I have downloaded the new opera browser. No prooblem. But...when I click on to it in Program, I get response: -3632401- Could not initialize DirectDraw. What does this mean and what needs to be done?

Are you using OzVGA or other programs to enable HiDPI mode on your Axim? I remember that DirectDraw had something to do with how the Axim displays "stuff". :)

Direct Draw is the 2D acceleration part of Direct X, which MS started putting in WM5 and up. I'm not sure how to go about fixing that, though...
