turn my x50 into a ipod touch?

ok after much thought i've decided not to sell my PDA. I've decided i may aswell turn it into an ipod touch.

whats the biggest CF card the x50 will accept?
what software (freeware of good reliable software to buy) should i install to make it like the ipod touch?
I play a few games (mainly warfare inc) will these icons show up with the above software or will i have to create new icons?

Is there anyway to install the software required so i can use my x50 to stream from justintv?

I play all of my itunes mp3's on my X51V. I use S2P as a application (its free) and store all of my mp3's on a single SDHC card. On my CF card I store all of my movies which I watch on TCPMP (also free). That selection of SDHD vs CF can just as easily be switched to CF vs SDHC with the movie player and SP2. The only issue I have found is the headset jack in the X51V is not the most expensive. Others have reported that it stops working if used to the extent a standard music player generally is. One of my X51V's has this problem and the other still works. When I listen to music its generally through the X51V's speakers. :approve:

nice one, is there any software out that would make my x50 look like the ipod touch? skins or themes or whatever they are called lol.

I forgot about that TCPMP, can't remember which media player i installed....think it was core player

I don't know if it will run on the x50 but check out POINT UI,
at least it's a GUI that is similar to that of the Ipod Touch.

You might want to check out the iPhone CAB. Since it's a .cab, you can easily uninstall it when you want.

i managed to get it set up and running a bit like the iphone/ipod touch using "itask". took an hour or so of messing around and then trying to figure out how to add new apps to it etc but it looks fine & its running smooth :)

give it a rest with all this trying to immitate an iTouch/iPhone UI. using such skins slows down performance tremendously and takes up RAM the axim series is just as if not more capable than an iPod touch. with the axim series or any windows mobile device you can listen to music in digital audio via bluetooth, with an iPod touch this isn't possible.

I concur. Eric, that is pretty harsh way to say it.

When I tried the iPod Touch UI (Yes, I was one of them too), it was way too slow for me liking. I will stay with WinMo now. But of course, it's some people's choice to like Apple's way of doing things.

Having a 'I-Phone or Pod Touch' on a Axim is mostly about the WOW factor not its being very functional IMHO. :approve:
