x51v - Viewing home webcam with WM6/IE - no motion???

I have an x51v and would like to call up my home network camera and view in a browser.
On my home pc, the video is streaming. On the axim, it shows only a snapshot at the time that the page is loaded.
The camera supports mobile streaming (and I have turned it on) though I was thinking that the axim and IE would work exactly as my home pc and IE. Bring up the local IP address and the webcam window would show activity as it was moving within the frame. No such luck to this point. Any help would be appreciated.
EWag.

You may just need a better Browser than PIE.

You could try Opera and see if that works better.

You can download a 30 day trial from here.

thanks Box. I have tried Opera also.
I think it is related to ActiveX.
Camera uses it. PDA browsers don't support it.

You could try Logmein and just view the screen of your PC that way.
Although I can't remember how well it transfers video.

I don't believe the mobile platform supports ActiveX as of yet.
Maybe by "mobile", it means a Tablet PC?

my network IPcam uses an activeX component to for viewing via a web browser but I have yet to get it to work on my x50v via the browser.

I also have a java app that works on my phone (symbian60 ) to allow me to view and pan/tilt but I have not been able to get it to work on my Axim yet either with a JVM - it gets about 90% of the way there and in the end does not connect - just waiting :D

I am looking around for a RTSP ( real time streaming protocol ) viewer for my x50v - preferably free - as my camera does support rtsp ( TCPMP does not support rtsp ).

Your best bet imho is to give skyfire a try.

edit: nm, skyfire doesnt support activex and they dont plan to either..

Check out the following for RTSP viewer:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1635261

I've got it installed on my x51v and can view the stream out of my Linksys wireless cam. The picture quality is crappy, but I think it's due to the fact that the stream is only 160x120.
