Power saving problem

Greetings,

I have an Axim x50v with WM 2003 SE. For the last couple months, it does not automatically turn off after a period of inactivity even though the settings are so that it should. This is a huge problem because when an appointment pops up (daily), it turns it on then I run out of batter a few hours later.

Can anyone provide help?

TIA.

Lew

Check if Activesync is running in the background.
Try using programs like WkTASK to actually close the program, not just minimize it.

First - Welcome to Mobilitysite. Lots of good info & ppl here.

Second - You may also want to check your BT and WiFi settings. I had that problem with my BT setup originally. If an appointment popped up the AX would stay on while it was connecting to the BT on my PC. Fortunately, I have my AX docked at home, so no battery loss. But, it was frustrating seeing it on when I knew it was off when I put it in the cradle. :exc:
