Bluetooth Woes [WM6.1]

i'm back. after thinking i broke my axim one day (wasnt responding to taps/buttons), decided to whip it out just to see if it would work. well, it does (???). heres the kicker: LOCK BUTTON WASNT FULLY PRESSED DOWN <-- classic problem.

anyways, new problem is bluetooth. never used it with this device. i imagined it was easy. i have it working with activesync now which is good, but i dont have any other profiles (PAN, File Explorer). using Windows 7 beta (can test with other OS too). using WM6.1 on my axim x51v with no change to bluetooth stack (default one). any thoughts?

I am using Windows 7 Beta 1 (Build 7000) too!

The device you are connecting to must have the supported profile too. I know the Axim has other profiles. Using the device you are connecting to, press "Discover profiles"

Another option would be to use the Widcomm Stack. Give it a try and see if you like it.

tried widcomm on my axim (as it proved to be much better than the stock stack). probably will have to install widcomm on my laptop too then? where can i get the desktop drivers?

You would have to visit your manufacture's website. Unless you build the laptop on your own....

dont know as it is an ebay dongle (size of a penny). however, i just remembered i have hacked widcomm on one of my PC's and have the install file (downloaded it somewhere) and it worked fine with the wiimote so i will test with this on W7.
