unrecognised 8gb cf card

Hi my axim x51v decided to not recognise my CF card today but worked fine before and i have not found a solution anywhere tht has helped. The CF card works fine in my PC and camera, i have formatted it several times to many formats and is still unrecognised. Any suggestions out there ???
Also, ive tried another CF card (48 MB SanDisk) which is recognised in my axim.

Try soft resetting the Axim if you haven't already. If that doesn't work try doing a full format FAT32 on the CF Card. I don't think the allocation should make a difference, but I think the default is 32KB.
