X51v Making A Trip To Hong Kong

I sent my Dell Axim x51v to Hong Kong to get upgraded today. I felt kind of sick when I left the post office, but I have an x30 to play with in the meantime. The main reason I sent it off was because I read wm 6.5 is very memory intensive, and I like to multi-task (pocketmusic, mobipocket, aim, opera mini), and I can use a larger pagepool to globally speed everything up a bit.

There is also the possibility the RAM upgrade could be used for future ROM upgrades (ie wm7), but even if wm6.5 ends up being the most recent rom the Ax can use I'll be happy with that.

The entire process is gonna run me $95 shipped which is an excellent deal assuming all goes well. The cost of the upgrade is cheaper than any phone upgrade which Ill be doing that as a phone replacement rather than an Ax replacement, since my contract is up soon.

All in all, Im hoping for a successful upgrade and safe return of my Ax, and thanks to the people who were braver than me and sent theirs off first :cheers:

USPS first class mail international was about $9 and took about 5 days to get from my location in the US to HK. I got the email from Alex, my x51v is upgraded to 128mb ram and he will ship on Monday, seems like fast service indeed. Total cost including shipping is about $96 US, seems like a great service from palm-center.
