X50v update

I have sucessful updated my X50V to WM5, A02.

However, when I tried to updated it to WM6 Football edition...

Dell Axim x51v WM6 (Football Edition) - xda-developers

.... and tried to installed it from my SD card. I get the following messages:

sd image update A01

then..

no suitable image found

and finally..

Image update failed. Please try it again!

Any idea what I am doing wrong and how to remedy it? Thanks!

Wrong device!

You need the WM6 ROM that is made for X50v- not the X51v!

There are three WM6/WM6.1 ROMs you can flash for the x50v.

Maglite

LennySh

Makuu

They are 3rd party ROMs and will void your extended warranty if you have any, which I doubt.

Unzip those files, if needed. And copy the .nb0 and .crc onto a SD card formatted FAT32. Access the bootloader. Then select the ROM and double tap the Action button (Center of the D-Pad).

Please look at the device that the ROM is for before flashing it! If you flash the wrong ROM for the wrong device, it will brick it.

Take a look at this picture about how to post a new thread. (Sorry for the messy desktop).

I will assist you once you post your new thread.

And, did you check the lock switch on the left side of your device?
