Complatable SD and CF Cards on X51?

I have an X51 (not an X51v), 520 MHz, A05 ROM with Windows Mobile 5 and I'd just like to know; what is the maximum capacity SD card and CF card that my X51 will be able to read and use?

Also, is there a ROM to allow the X51 to read SDHC cards? I know there's the "SDHC driver for original aku 2.3.1 ROM", but that's just for the X51v, right?

Max capacity for SD card is whatever the maximum is (4GB, I think?).

CF is basically unlimited.

SDHC needs the SDHC driver. I can confirm 32GB SDHC works for x51v and x50v. So I infer that it should work for x51...

There is WM6.1 ROMs for x51 that have embedded SDHC support. But the cons do not outweigh the pros on those ROMs.

Take a look at the Storage Card Compatibility List. I still recommend Sandisk and Kingston for flash memory.

I might just get a 32GB CF card and a 4GB SD card. I was wanting to use the SDHC driver but there seems to be far too much uncertainty in that thread. I don't want to invest in a 32GB SD card only to find out that it doesn't fully work. Many say in that thread that their larger-than-4GB SDHC cards can't be fully used by their Axim.

Also, you're right, there are WM6 and WM6.1 ROMs for the X51. They're still in development though, so I'll just wait until they're stable and released as final.

However, if I was to use a WM6 or WM6.1 ROM, would I be able to easily revert back to the stock WM5 A02 ROM?

4GB SD cards are hard to come by, I only see 3 on Newegg.com. 2GB SD cards are far more common.

I know Sandisk's regular, Ultra II, and Extreme III series work on Axims. So if you decide to use SDHC, I recommend those.

You can revert back from WM6 to WM5 A12 if anything goes wrong. I'm not sure about A02/A06...

I guess I'll give those SDHC cards a try (using the SDHC driver) since they are about half the price of a CF card. Although, I'll make sure that I can return it in case it isn't compatible.

Oops, I meant WM5 A05 ROM (not A02)... But I suppose that's uncertain as well.
