1) Unpack files from archive into root of FAT32 SD-Card.
WM50_K_A04_X50_WM61_ENG_nb0.crc + WM50_K_A04_X50_WM61_ENG.nb0
2) Insert the SD-Card into your Axim and start the SD Image Loader by Pressing Wireless + Power + Reset
3) The Image Loader will search for flash images on your SD-Card.
4) Press the action key twice, this starts the update process.
5) After the process is finished you will be asked to hard reset your device. Follow this instruction and wait for the OS to load.

Restart Axim boot screen logo DEll freeze 80% :(
Power + Reset: Screen: To restore factory settings press CONTACT. To cancel this operation, press POST. Note: All existing data is lost when you restore factory settings.

Ouch! If you got the blue dell screen and it shut off after that, that means that the rom you tried to flash was either incompatible with your axim (where exactly did you find the rom?) or that the rom was not built correctly (I know exactly what's going on with the WM6.1 rom, I had to sort that one out many a time, but seeing as I'm currently in college right now and my developer computer is at home, it will be a while until I can upload a fix). If I can get that rom kitchen that I've been working on (from home), a fix might come to you faster.

John, if you remember when Dell came out with the X50 series they had an entry model (X50 low, 416mHz Xscale), a middle model (X50 mid, 512mHz), and a high-end model (X50v).

What does this have to do with LeClair's problem? He/She flashed the correct ROM for the correct device.

Lenny's re-ported an x50 mid WM6.1 ROM. Since he does not have a x50 mid, he could not test it. Therefore, I would barely consider it a ROM.
