transfering data from X3i to X51v

I have an X3i, but recently got a X51v from Ebay. I want to transfer contacts and calendar to the X51v and start using it. Are there some files I can copy from the X3i to get my present calendar and contacts automatically over to the X51v? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sync your X3i to Outlook on your computer. Then sync this data to your X51v.

I tried that, but couldn't get the X3i to sync for some reason. I have had a sync problem since I switched to Vista OS, although the X51v seems to sync o.k. with outlook, the X3i will not. The Vista recognizes the X3i, but will not sync with outlook. Are there no files on the X3i that I could just copy over to the X51v?

No, there's no way to copy a file that contains the contacts & calendar items from one pocket pc to another. You really need to get the sync x3i synced to a computer - if you've got access to an XP computer, perhaps you could do it there. Otherwise you'll need to work out your Vista issues with the x30i to get it synced to that computer.

I have one XP computer left in my office as a spare that I was cleaning out the harddrive to bring home for my wife to use to access the internet. I'll try to get it back up to do the transfer. Thanks for your help, and you have an interesting and helpful blog that I have bookmarked. The X51v was bought on Ebay last week, and, although it came with 6.1 installed, it did not have a manual with it and so had to download it from Dell.
