Sync issue? USB issue?

Hi, docking cradle is junk, and I finally needed to back up some stuff off my X50V.
Now I am not getting my computer to recognize the USB connection. I am using the USB into home wall charger cable and into the X50V?

What do you mean by "USB into home wall charger and into the X50V"? Do you mean the AC adapter with the charger adapter (the attachment piece that fits into the sync connector)?

What stuff do you want to backup? If you have already synced before, you can do it wirelessly if you are still running ActiveSync 3.8 or earlier. You can also transfer data via BT or IR. As well, you can move data onto your memory card and then transfer that over to your computer via card reader.
