X30 or x50/51?

Hi,

I e-bayed an x30 recently without manual or disc, hoping o get it running with a bit of jiggling.

This hasn't happened properly.

I like the idea of the set a lot and wonder if coming up to date with an x50 or x51 WITH its associated disc and manual would be more successful.

My x30 seems vey reluctant to run with my Netgear router.

Any experinece on whether the more recent machines would be easier to set up?


Any thoughts?

The x30 and the x50 come with 2003se. The x50 will have a slightly newer wifi software, but both are wireless b im in not mistaken. The x50 can be upgraded to wm5 and wm6, though slightly slower than 2003se allows u to run newer software.

The x51 comes with wm5 and can be upgraded to run wm6. Some say that it runs these oses better than the x50 does.

If u want to run up to date software, 2003se is going the way of the dinosaurs.
Personally i would look for an x51 unless that is over budget.

All of these ppcs should connect fine to wifi as long as they are the model with the wifi card built in.

x51v and x50v are the best if you want to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6/ 6.5.

If you need some help with your Wi-Fi connection, feel free to reply and we will help you out.

Axims only accept WEP and WPA-PSK (Possibly with some problems) encryption, so keep that in mind.
