If the Ax was a convergent tool, I would buy it in a heart beat but alas, smaller is better I guess.

Something else I've noticed too. The RAZR (as a phone) just works better than the Samsung did. Kind of hard to describe. The Samsung call quality seemed fine but then when I used the RAZR again the quality of the connection just seemed "steadier" if that makes any sense. When I was talking on it the RAZR seemed more like a landline - a little less "snowy", perhaps.
The Samsung screen is really clear and bright - but the screen on the Ax is 50% (or more) larger. A lot easier on the eyes when reading for longer periods of time. As for the touch-screen; no comparison. I frequently had to tap twice or tap really hard on the Samsung to get taps to register. On the ax I just lightly touch my target and it responds.
I'm sure they will continue to improve the technology but to me, at least, fully converged just crams too many things into one box. Sooner or later the human-interface part of it gets cluttered or something is compromised. I was trying to simplify by combining all-in-one but it just went a little too far.
