2GB High-Speed Ultra II CF card Vs. 2GB 80x Professional CF card

2GB High-Speed Ultra II CF card Vs. 2GB 80x Professional CF card

I am planning to buy one of these cards but I don't know which one is better.

1. Sandisk
2GB High-Speed Ultra II CompactFlash card

can be found here: http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?DPNo=377446

or

2. Lexar Media
2GB 80x Professional CompactFlash card with Write Acceleration (WA) Technology

can be found here: http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?DPNo=491667

In terms of speed, which on is faster in either write or read ?

The Sandisk Ultra II has a sustained write speed of 9mb/second (or 60x speed).

The Lexar has a sustained write speed of 12mb/second (or 80x speed).

The Lexar should theoretically be faster but at the end of the day it all depends on how and what you are doing with the card.

about the speed it helps when ur writing with a pc.
but when reading/writing it dosent make much difference to performance, beacuse its restricted by the pda hardware.
but theres always the quality?.

Depends what you mean by that. Reading or writing? 45X or 80X?

I thought that the high write speed is important only for SLR digital camera since it needs fast write speed to prevent slow down of the shots.

I am mainly concern about the read speed. Read speed is important to access info from the PDA and I assume would be good for viewing movies also.

For my ipaq, all I really care about is the size of the card. speed is of almost no importance to me as long as it is average or just slightly below average. i don't want a REALLY slow card because that would not be cool
