128 RAM + 128 ROM on the high model? 1000 mAH battery? This info contrast with many of the other threads, big time. Funny pic, though :)
This is one of the details about the X50 that make me wonder if its true. Why would they put 128MB ROM on a PocketPC? The rom is intended for the OS, and the current builds don't even take up the 32mb we allocate to them. It is nice that the leftover becomes usable BIS, but that doesn't seem to be reason enough to justify adding all that unneeded ROM space. Aside from the cost of the chips, its going to take up precious board space, showing a strong divergence between the layout of the X50 high and the lower models.
For the cost and pain of adding that extra ROM, Dell could have just given you a 256MB SD card. Wouldn't that make more sense?
According to rumors in the HP4700 series forum on Brighthand, the additional ROM space is intended to accomodate the next version of the Windows Mobile operating system. It will, apparently, have a larger footprint than the current version.

I've been thinking that since HP and now Dell include 128 MB ROM with their new high-end Pocket PCs, if it has any connection with WM2005. Does anyone know any details about this upcoming release?
