Stupid question RE x5 to x50

If I have numerous databases and .pdf type files on my x5, will they be compatable and/or convertable (easily) to the x50? If not, it may be too much work to upgrade.

I don't see what makes that a stupid question. I kinda wonder the same thing. Although, I don't have a bunch of databases, I do have lots of contacts, appointments, a few PDF's and a lot of today themes on there that I like. Anyone have any idea on how tough of an upgrade it is, to go from an old axim like an x5 to something newer? Do I have to worry about interoperability with the new version of WM2003 and some of my older programs?

yes, they will, as long as you install the software that u use to read them onto the x50.

just out of couriosity, if you done a backup on your X5 could you use this backup file to setup your new X30 or X50 handset ???

How about all of my contacts from the x5? any ideas how to get them on to the x50?

just connect your new cradle, extablish a connection and sync. you can have both the x5 and x50 with different partner names and they can still sync, one at a time. programs will have to be loaded and you will get a warning that it may not work but just click on ok. so far none of the programs that i used on my x5 have caused any problems on my x50v.
