I don't really worry about the memory limit at all, which is controlled by OS, but by hardware.

That PDF brochure is an awesome find. Anyone find the manual on the Dell site yet? I was the first to post the one for the X30. Someone has to be able to find it soon.

The X50 measurements are not that much bigger than the X30. This is a definate plus. I found the size of the X30 much better than the X5. If the X50 does lack a jog wheel that would suck. But I'll wait till the WM05 is out before considering the change. The X30 needs more mileage, going on five months now.

Well here we go, it is almost here and when it ships the gripes will start. No worries. I can't wait to read an Aximsite review. Hurry up, it will probably come out the day the X50 appears on Dell's site. We know you have one so put out the review already.

Don't fear the Dell death ninja squads.

I would agree with you, BUT remember that dell in fact sells 2GB and 4GB CF cards too... Seems a bit too artificial for them not to include these CF cards in the list if they are indeed supported.

But this is quite common for Dell brochures. They just generally list the accessories that tend to be the "best sellers" of the ones they carry. Otherwise, they would just fill up an entire sheet alone with all of the accessories that would be X50 compatible.

Setup guide describes the button and there is no jog dial.

Also, the cradle is quite boring.

That 8 hour wait before I can turn it on for the first time is going to seem like an eternity. :(

Have it shipped to your friend's house. Have them charge it, then let you know.

Well couldn't you use your X50 while it charges the battery or couldn't you put the battery in the cradle's spare battery slot and your X50 in the cradle's sync port then plug the AC adapter into the cradle?

First, that depends on where you live. :p

Second, Dell has not been known in the past to make "midnight releases" of their products.

Hey guys, I am seriously considering X50 as my next PDA comparing it against x30. Do you know what is the normal Dell pattern of having coupons on their new PDAs? Is it going to take few weeks/months to push the price down with the coupons?

I just can not wait to have this unit, but would not mind to wait 2-3 weeks to get the price lower

Chances are that at first your order will be a preorder and in the event that Dell comes up with rebates before your preorder changes to "shipping" then you can always cancel your order and re-order it with the rebate(s).
