these are good numbers right? i'm not much of a gaming person, but when i saw the graphic enhancement in Spb i got excited and went ahead with the GXmark benchmark as recommended by Picard.

It should also be noted, that GXMARK skews the results towards flip time. In reality the X50v should be faster for real application than the A730 due to the higher clock speed. You can see this effect, if you look at the numbers for other graphics functions of gxmark.
Excellent results btw.

ps. Interesting observation, that the whole address range of the slave interface of the 2700g is already mapped to virtual space right from the address GETRAWFRAMEBUFFER returns.

Picard,

Is there a way to do a GAPI benchmark in the unstable Betaplayer? I tried doing it in the stable version but there are some display issues with the new drivers even when they are turned off. The bottom toolbar and part of the screen does not draw correctly after I turn the drivers off. Maybe a soft-reset is needed?

When you say power off, do you mean a soft reset? I did that and the drivers are still active.

BetaPlayer should not display GAPI option on VGA devices. it uses 'Raw FrameBuffer' with direct access to VGA video memory. this GAPI driver tweak should have no effect on BetaPlayer (in theory).

no. i mean push the power button once so the device turns into sleep mode.

Not sure what version I have... it looks like www.pocketsnes.com has gone away though, so I don't know where you'd get bleeding edge.

In PocketSNES, if it's running and I turn off then back on the device, it seems to lose the scaling and draws two tiny versions in the top half of the screen.

Edit: same thing in gxmark.

I'm using 1.12.200, which looks like the most recent version.

The screen doesn't update anymore until (i'm guessing) GXClosedisplay is called.

this is kinda weird. i got morphgear working to the point of the duel tiny screens on top like emulamer said. then i tried ur new version, and it gives me this screen

if i take a screenshot using getpdascreen it takes a screenshot of the normal morphgear screen (the one i want to see) but the screen on my axim is the weird one as shown. but if i take a screenshot and check the box that says "use gapi" it takes the true screenshot of my axim (the one u see here) and makes the screen on my axim go to normal

or sorta normal...once the taskbar gets back to normal after the second screenshot, the problem still exists when u have two mini-version of the game

this is getting kind of confusing....

if i take a screenshot of the running game in morphgear and check use gapi i get this as a screenshot and it flashes real quick on my axim's screen then goes back to the duel mini thing

and it doesnt have anything to do with icbar, cuz it does the same thing with the regular taskbar....im confusing even myself, i hope this helps
