do you have that battery bar or that journal thing installed? if so, uninstall it and try again.

not sure, but it's worth trying to uninstall unless you have a bunch of custom settings

could be, take that off the today screen start/setting/today/items then try

to tell u the truth it downt run beatifully, all games run ultra-fast (maybe even too fast) but whenever i pause it, then unpause it, i get the dual mini-screen thing. im gonna venture a guess that when u pause it, the menu's that it brings up are drawn with gdi, then when u unpause it screwes up the gapi, am i right? im just shootin in the dark considering i have no idea what im talking about. The important thing is your drivers definetaly show the potential of the x50v, just a few bugs to work out

I'm using 1.12.200, which looks like the most recent version.

I dont know if this is the same file, but this is what I downloaded today.

PS. I know about GAPI/API or what ever, but If Picard can make the X50v faster at anything including morph, I'd like to compesate you for time spent improving this PDA. Not much, mind you, but if the performance of the x50 is imporved by your drivers, I'd like to paypal you.
We need smart people like you to "hang"/"support" us X50 owners.
I'll kick in for a picard X50 fund also.

unfortunatelly i can't have a paypal acount, because my country (Hungary) is not yet supported by paypal.

as for the tweak: i will get back to it in the evening. it seems it has much more problem as i first thought. i will invest some more time in this qvga mode approach, but probably a more compatible solution would be staying in vga and using 2d acceleration to scale the frames.

Yes, based on the 2700G hardware documentation this should be an excellent way to do it.

Do we have access to the complete 2700G programming documentation? I haven't looked at the public datasheet with enough scruitiny to see if it's enough... Seems like all the registers and memory regions are described in detail. If this is not enough, I *might* be able to get more detailed stuff if it's available. At the very least i should be able to see it myself, or put select people here in touch with the relevant Intel guys.

Ok so he cant have a paypal account in Hungary...that doesnt mean he cant accept a gift in the mail :) (BTW whoever is designated to ship...make sure its as a gift otherwise customs is extremely greedy). Id really like to see someone who has been around long enough to be concidered trustworthy either make an account for his behalf or perhaps just setup another sort of fund. Dont know about the rest of you but I would really like to see this done.

all right, i cant tell you much; as i dont really remember what happened cuz i did this all last night, but i did a soft reset from vga to normal useing se_vga while using your drivers. I had done this exact same thing before and it worked fine with an earlier version, but this time my ppc froze, turning it on and off produced the same frozen today screen, and so did soft-resetting it. I ended up having to do a hard reset, any idea why this might have happened?

I've tried it with SE_VGA and haven't had any problems that a soft reset doesn't fix. I've also done some pretty messed up things that I'm lucky didn't break the axim, and it still came back after a soft reset.

it might have been other programs responsible, i also had trouble adding items to my today screen for some reason
