Question Output To Projector

Hi everyone,

I'm interested in buying an Axim as I really need a PDA to display the contents of the actual PDA screen to a projector. Currently the X50v says it can be connected to a projector to display powerpoint presentations, word docs etc. However, is it simply just presenting the files in memory/MMC card or can we actually display the current PDA VGA screen to the projector rather than the contents of the memory? So for example if click on the PDA screen, this will be shown on the projector? If so, what is the refresh like?

Is there any PDA that can project the actual PDA screen to the projector?

Many thanks

Yes it is able to become a mirroring device to present a powerpoint for example. But you need to buy a 80 buck vga cable from dell, that also includes the software to run the mirroring. Search for the presentation pack in the forum... or on dell;'s site,

Mirroring is an option but if your just looking to display the actual PDA screen and have a pc to connect to the projector you can this even better using Pocket Controller. I use it for training and such...works great especially in wifi mode.

Basically I'm programming the PDA with my software so the objective is to show off my software on the PDA via a projector.

Can I connect a projector to the X50v PDA and then mirror the image of the PDA to the projector in "real-time" or at least a good refresh rate? Or do I have to connect a PDA to the PC and then the PC to the projector? Sorry about these questions... I don't know anything about PDA's and need to buy one if I am able to show my program with a projector.

If "real-time" projection can be done with X50 models, what other models can do it to? I don't want to spend £400 in the UK for an X50v if I can buy a lower model to do the job?

Cheers

Perhaps Remote Display Control for Pocket PC:

Would that work? Cheers.
